PROCEDURE
He is wearing his face of absolute disdain as if it might protect him. He hates the Doctor and the Nurse, seeing ineptitude in every gesture — the way he pats his pocket and looks away, the way she fumbles with her gloves, the things they say that don't concern him. His mother's hand is white in his grip but she will not stop telling silly stories. "Can you feel this?" the Doctor asks, and of course he can, he can, he can.
